bullet  General Notes:

There are a number of William Heap's in the area. The Weseleyen family may not be directly ancestral. Harbron Heap and others are doing additonal research.

Research commissioned by Harbron Heap shows that this William Heap died in 1792 a few months before his son William's birth. His mother remarried a Thomas Whittaker and had several more children around Shuttleworth and Dry gap farm. If this is correct William Heap born 1792 has no other siblings by his father William Heap although he has half brothers and sisters by his mother Betty Hamer and stepfather Thomas Whittaker.

William Heap was listed as age 27 at his death in 1792 meaning he was born 1764 place unknown but was married in Edenfield. Research is needed on adjacent parishes like Holcombe for birth entry although he may not have been baptizied in the Established Church of England.

There are several baptismal entries for a William Heap born about 1764 inthe Lancashire area. one is for William Heap born 11 Dec. 1763 o fHabergham Eaves, Burnley Parish, Lancashire son of William Heap and Alice. Habergham is several parishes North Edenfield. Note also thatAlice was used by WM. Heap 1792 as name for one of his daughters. This i slikely entry but further proof will be needed.
