Alice Alwyn
- Born: 1570, Pitminster, Somersetshire, Eng
- Marriage: Hugh Gaylord in 1593 in Pitminster, Somersetshire, Eng
- Buried: 17 Feb 1619, , Pitminster, Somersetshire, Eng
General Notes:
! In the Archives, it appears that Hugh had two wives, (1) Joan and (2) Alice Alwyn. By his birth date it also appears that he could have had two wives. By the naming of the daughter, Alice, I would assume our Alice Alwyn was the mother, but she is listed as a child with both wives. It is not known for sure which mother was hers, Alice or Joan, or were these wives one and the same? ! PARENTS: We know that Alice Alwyn is the daughter of Giles Alwyn, but, was there another and earlier wife than Johanne Brixton Gaylord who could have been the mother of Alice Alwyn? Did Alice Alwyn marry a half brother or step brother? The answer lies in who her mother really is.
