Captain Ephraim Goodrich
Ephraim was commisioned Ensign of the Galstonbury trainband, May 1698,and Lieutenant, May 1710. Moving back to Wethersfield, he was madeLieutenant of the south company there, May 1713, and Captain May 1716. Hewas deputy for Glastonbury at the October 1792 session of the GeneralCourt. In January and February 1737/8, he conveyed land in Glastonbury tosons David Goodrich of Glastonbury, Thomas Goodrich of Glastonbury,Gideon Goodrich of Wethersfield, and Richard Goodrich of Middletown. Ephraim married Sarah Treat, daughter of Richard Treat and Sarah Coleman, on 20 May 1684 in Wetherfield, Hartford, CT. (Sarah Treat was born on 8 Jun 1664 in Wetherfield, Hartford, CT and died on 26 Jan 1712 in Wetherfield, Hartford, CT.) |
