Cedar City: The first woolen manufacturing was in a mill built by JosephWalker, James Bosnell and James Simkins, manager. It contained a woolwashing apparatus, carding and weaving machines. The great mill buildingwas partly erected by Joseph Chatterly and James Bosnell. JosephChatterly was accidentally killed so Erastus Snow joined with JamesBosnell and finished the mill. Also he joined with James Simkins andJoseph Walker and moved the woolen factory up to a spot near the Creek.—Records of John Chatterly
